BUILDING SHARED PARTNERSHIPS FOR STUDENTS' CAREER SUCCESS
This site is designed to share information about our Gainful Employment for Minorities (GEM) initiative with our stakeholders. The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and Lilly Endowment, Inc. joined forces with twenty-four historically black colleges and universities and predominantly black institutions (PBIs) to establish the UNCF Career Pathways Initiative.
Tougaloo College, Oakwood University, and Talladega College (TOT CLUSTER) seek to partner in building shared pathways to career success for their institutions' students. While each partnership will serve to share strengths and to increase the number of undergraduates who transition to meaningful jobs in their chosen fields immediately after graduation.
This collaboration is intended to benefit all students of member institutions because of our shared commitment to strengthen career guidance and discernment while enhancing the liberal arts experience of students at HBCUs and a shared commitment to serving as best practice incubators and models for HBCUs preparing college graduates to immediately and seamlessly enter the workforce.
